Peaks & Paws at Squaw Valley

July 11, 2016 by Go Squaw Leave a Comment

Your best friend has been there for you and with you on hikes, errands, walks and cuddles, how about taking him or her to an event that celebrates how much that relationship brings to your life?

Peaks & Paws is a tribute to your four legged best friend while also helping the future friends of people in the Truckee Tahoe community.  On August 27, from 11am to 7pm your dog is invited to a day planned just for them! The $5 entry fee  benefits the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.

Here are some of the events you can expect to participate in at Peaks & Paws:

  1. Ultimate Flying Dog Show and demonstrations from JD Platt & the K9 Kings
  2. Fetching Contests
  3. Shopping vendors offering pet supplies, services and crafts
  4. Listening to live bluegrass music from Bison throughout the day on the second stage. The Cherry Pickers, Dustin Green Bones and the Trout Steak Revival will take turns on the main stage.
  5. Beer & wine for you, water for your pet
  6. Guided hike for you and your dog up the mountain
  7. You can also adopt your own best friend or find another member for your family
  8. “Yappy Hour” runs from 4-5pm and offers complimentary pet treats and $1 off drinks.

If you’d like to be a sponsor for this event, pet-themed sponsorships are open until August 1st.  See the event page on the Squaw Valley website for more info.

This list was accurate at the time of publication, please check directly with the venue to ensure dates, times, and locations remain the same.
