Theses two neighborhoods are located just behind and about 800 feet above Tahoe Park, Sunnyside and Ward Canyon on Lake Tahoe’s Westshore. Some of the properties in these neighborhoods have spectacular lake views and all the properties are near trailheads that link to Alpine Meadows, Ward Canyon and Granlibakken; a vast network of hiking and mountain biking trails in summer, and cross-country skiing and backcountry skiing in winter. These trails have some of the best fall colors and summer wildflower hikes in the region!
Talmont and Twin Peak Estates neighborhoods are accessed on Lake Tahoe’s Westshore from highway 89 from either Tahoe City to the north or South Lake Tahoe to the south. these two neighborhoods are very close to the community of Sunnyside, which has two popular restaurants with the locals; the Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge know for its fine dinning, lunch on the deck overlooking the water, and fish taco night in winter, and the Fire Sign Café, the best breakfast spot on the Lake!
The houses in these neighborhoods are secluded and woodsy. There is a mix of small older cabins, large single family homes and some luxury homes. Many are vacation homes although a lot are occupied by full time residents. The area gets a lot of snow in the winter and really delivers on the Tahoe cabin feel.
