Tahoe Donner is a beautiful subdivision in the mountain area of north west Truckee. It was established in 1970 and its first home was built in 1972.  With only approx. 30% of it’s residents year round and it’s close proximity to Interstate 80, this area is highly desirable for 2nd home owners.

As a planned community, the  6000 lots are large and there are 1300 acres of greenbelt interspersed among the homes.  The Tahoe Donner Home Owner’s Association manages an incredible selection of amenities, including; the Beach Club Marina at Donner Lake, an equestrian center, an 18-hole PGA rated golf course & driving range, hiking & biking trails, a private campground, a world class cross country ski center, a downhill ski area with a snow play area, 11 tennis courts, the Trout Creek Recreation Center (a state of the art fitness center) which includes 2 swimming pools, Jacuzzis, a sauna, a steam room, a workout room, and they manage the very popular The Lodge Restaurant.

Most of the lots are sold.  There is a wide mixture of residents including some older cabins and townhomes to some newly built custom homes and condominiums.  For the cost of the homes, and considering all of the amenities for very reasonable HOA dues, Tahoe Donner is one of the most desirable vacation home neighborhoods in Truckee and is an excellent buy.
